Privacy Policy
Effective: 2026-05-03
This Privacy Policy explains what data the houme iOS app (the "App") collects and how it is used. The App is operated by houme by Alex Khomich ("we", "us"). We designed houme to keep your data on your device by default; this page explains where that is not possible.
1. Photos you submit
When you generate a makeover, the photo you select is uploaded to our backend — a Cloudflare Worker that proxies the request to Google's Gemini AI service for processing. The photo is held in memory only for the duration of the request and is not stored on our servers. Generated images are returned to your device and saved locally there.
2. Data stored on your device
The App stores the following on your device only:
- Generated images, recommendations, and shopping suggestions for makeovers you save.
- An anonymous user identifier and a session identifier, used to count remaining free generations and check your subscription status.
- App preferences and settings.
This data never leaves your device and is removed when you delete the App.
3. Subscription purchases
If you subscribe to houme Pro, the purchase is handled entirely by Apple via StoreKit. We do not see your payment details — we only receive an entitlement signal indicating that an active subscription exists.
4. Analytics
The App emits analytics events to the local device console only. There is no third-party analytics SDK (no Firebase, Mixpanel, Amplitude, or similar), and no analytics events are transmitted to our servers.
5. Third parties
The App relies on the following services:
- Google Gemini — processes the photo to generate the makeover. Subject to Google's policies.
- Cloudflare — hosts the Worker that relays requests between the App and Google. Cloudflare does not retain the photo content.
- Apple — handles subscription purchases via StoreKit and the App Store.
We do not share your photos with any other third parties and we do not sell any data.
6. Tracking
The App does not track you across other apps or websites and does not use the Apple Advertising Identifier (IDFA).
7. Children
The App is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
8. Your rights
Because data is stored on your device, you can delete it at any time by removing individual makeovers from the Spaces screen or by deleting the App. If you have questions about your data, write to support@houme.context.select.
9. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy. Changes will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
